Why SEO Matters in Human Design
Your SEO strategy is the backbone of your online visibility. It ensures that when someone is looking for solutions that you provide, they can easily find you.
Further, the goal is to simplify things for your audience. Human Design can seem complex at first, with terms like “Projector,” “Manifesting Generator,” “Profile,” and “Incarnation Cross” which tends to overwhelm people at first. Our job is to translate these concepts into language that resonates with them, and that’s where SEO comes in.
Identifying the Right Keywords
The essence of SEO is keyword research. Keywords are the terms and phrases that people type into search engines when they’re looking for answers. For effective SEO, we need to think like our potential clients. What problems are they facing? What questions are they asking? Here’s how to find the right keywords for your business:
- Understand Your Clients’ Problems and Questions: List out the issues your clients face. For example, are they struggling to find their purpose, dealing with burnout, or looking to improve their relationships?
Use Keyword Research Tools: Tools like Google Keyword Planner, Moz, SEMrush, and AnswerThePublic can help you find relevant keywords. These tools offer free versions that are quite effective. - Analyze Competitors’ Keywords: Look at what keywords other Human Design coaches or related industry experts are targeting. This can provide insights and help you identify gaps. Some of the keyword research sites allow you to check other websites in your industry to see what keywords are popular with them.
- Focus on Longtail Keywords: These are more specific phrases that potential clients might use. For example, instead of just “coaching,” you might use “self-discovery coaching for midlife women.”
- Incorporate Local SEO: If you offer in-person sessions or workshops, include location-based keywords like “Human Design coach in Vancouver.”
Creating Valuable Content
Once you have your keywords, the next step is creating content that addresses your clients’ needs. High-quality content helps attract organic traffic and establishes you as an authority.
It always comes back to the value of your content!
Here are a few keyword examples by niche to get you started:
Parenting Niche
- General Keywords: Parenting tips, positive parenting, effective discipline strategies.
- Longtail Keywords: How to handle tantrums in toddlers, best parenting books for new parents, positive parenting techniques for teens.
Business Niche
- General Keywords: Business coaching, entrepreneur tips, leadership development.
- Longtail Keywords: Self-discovery coaching for career change, business growth strategies for small businesses, leadership development programs for startups.
The Power of Good Content
Good content is the cornerstone of your SEO strategy. Whether it’s blog posts, videos, or podcasts, make sure your content is valuable and addresses your clients’ specific needs.
For example, if you focus on ADHD within Human Design, use keywords related to ADHD management. This not only improves your SEO but also positions you as an expert in a specific area. Yes, you can absolutely use Human Design terms for SEO as well (and I believe you should) but you want to use everyday language that addresses your potential clients problem.
The trick that I use when creating content is that I ask myself “What is she googling?” and I use that for SEO.
Longtail Keywords in Business
If you’re focusing on the business niche within Human Design, understanding and using longtail keywords is essential. Here are some examples:
- General Keywords: Business coaching, entrepreneur tips, leadership development, business growth strategies, small business management.
- Longtail Keywords: How to start a successful small business, business coaching for entrepreneurs, leadership development programs, online business growth strategies for startups, small business management tips.
These longtail keywords are more specific and fine-tuned, targeting potential clients more precisely. The right keywords can significantly impact your content’s effectiveness depending on where in the funnel you place them.
Keyword Strategy for Each Platform
As part of your content strategy, using the right keywords in the right places is crucial. For example, if you’re creating Pinterest pins and captions, you need to use broad keywords since Pinterest is typically the top of the funnel. This approach ensures that you attract a wide audience, gradually guiding them through their journey with more specific content. Where you’re putting each piece of content matters and it may change the keywords that you choose.
Keywords for Relationship Niche
If your focus is on Human Design in relationships, here are some keywords to consider:
- General Keywords: Relationship advice, couples therapy, conflict resolution in relationships, building trust in relationships, relationship communication skills.
- Longtail Keywords: How to improve communication in a relationship, best couples therapy techniques, conflict resolution strategies for couples, how to build trust in a new relationship, relationship advice for long-distance couples.
These keywords help you target specific issues your potential clients are facing, making your content more relevant and discoverable.
Keywords for Life Purpose Niche
For those in the life purpose niche, here are some keyword suggestions:
- General Keywords: Finding life purpose, life coaching, personal development, discovering your passion, goal setting and achievement.
- Longtail Keywords: How to find your life purpose, life coaching for personal growth, personal development strategies, discover your passion and purpose, effective goal-setting techniques.
Combining these keywords with Human Design terms can further refine your targeting.
For example:
- Human Design + Parenting: Human Design parenting tips, Human Design for child behavior issues, using Human Design in parenting strategies.
- Human Design + Business: Human Design for business coaching, entrepreneur tips using Human Design, leadership development with Human Design.
- Human Design + Relationships: Relationship advice through Human Design, couples therapy with Human Design, building trust in relationships using Human Design.
- Human Design + Life Purpose: Finding life purpose with Human Design, life coaching using Human Design, discovering your passion through Human Design.
